Meet Dan Sigler

Title: Parts Manager
Time with Rig Source: 1 Year
Hometown: Saint Charles, IL

What do you like most about the drilling industry?

I enjoy the drilling industry because it is technical, demanding, and relationship driven. It’s a tight-knit community where trust and reputation matter, and my journey at Rig Source has introduced me to some exceptional people that work out in the field every day.

Who inspires you?

My family is my greatest source of inspiration, reminding me daily why integrity, consistency, and commitment matter. They push me to be better in both my professional and personal life, and it’s important to me to be a strong role model for my boys.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to enter the drilling industry?

If you are willing to learn from drillers, techs and operators, they will teach you more than any manual ever could. Learn the equipment, understand how rigs, tooling, pumps and hydraulics work. If you respect the work and the people behind it, this industry will give you opportunities to grow both professionally and personally.

What’s one thing—either industry-related or not—you learned inthe last month?

One thing I’ve learned recently is the value of slowing down just enough to get things right the first time. In a fast moving, high-pressure industry like drilling, it’s easy to focus on speed, butI’ve been reminded that accuracy, clear communication, and follow through save far more time in the long run—especially when people are counting on you. Drillers do not like down time!Time is money!

What’s the last book you read?

Traction by Gino Wickman

What is your favorite hobby?

I enjoy doing home improvement projects, cooking, drawing, fixing things, and coaching my kids football team.

What’s the first concert you ever attended?

Ozzfest

What’s the next place on your travel bucket list?

Hawaii

If you had to eat one meal every day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Breakfast

What’s one item you can’t live without?

Caffeine
