Networking drives business and an association membership is an excellent way to gain those much needed connections that make up your network. This is especially true when you get into drilling and mining because it’s such a niche market. When you have a limited number of people searching for your product, it’s required that you reach as many of them as possible in order to make an impact. What better way to do this than to join an industry specific association.
For the drilling and mining industry, The Northwest Mining Association is the must have membership. The NWMA is in its 118th year as a non-profit, national association representing the hard rock mining industry. They support all sectors of mining from drilling exploration to closure, and have over 2,000 members. That’s 2,000+ networking opportunities!
Besides having a large number of members, The NWMA hosts an annual meeting and exposition to serve as a resource for networking with other drillers. The 2013 expo takes place December 2-6 and has over 2,500 attendees and 200+ exhibitors attending. Short courses and technical sessions are also available at the expo that directly relate to drilling and the mining industry. These educational opportunities provide members an additional method of staying on top of the latest mining news and technology.
