Bellin was one of the first manufacturers in Italy to develop Progressive Cavity Pump (PCP) technology, and today their pumps are recognized for durability, efficiency, and consistent performance, even in abrasive, high-solid, and high-pressure environments.
NGWA Spotlight: Series N Progressive Cavity Pumps
At this year’s NGWA show, our Parts Manager Dan Sigler showcased one of Bellin’s Progressive Cavity Pumps. The Bellin NG800L, a heavy-duty pump designed specifically for tough applications, including drilling machines.
Comparable to the Moyno 3L8, the NG800L is engineered with an independent bearing housing and a flexible transmission drive shaft, allowing the pump to operate smoothly under heavy loads while reducing wear on critical components. This design makes it exceptionally well suited for high-pressure, demanding drilling environments. With flow rates up to 97 GPM and pressure ratings up to 290 PSI, the NG800L delivers a steady, pulsation-free flow that helps maintain consistent drilling performance and minimizes equipment wear.
Bellin pumps also feature a threadless stator that sits directly in the pump’s main housing and is secured with four stator retainers. This design simplifies maintenance, enables faster repairs, and significantly reduces downtime in the field.
Why Progressive Cavity Pumps Matter in Drilling
Progressive cavity pumps are ideal for drilling applications because they:
